The saying goes “Old soldiers never die, they simply fade away”. Not so with cranky old ex-army guy Jack. He will not surrender to the old folk’s home without a good fight. His schoolteacher daughter thinks if he can only visit her classroom of young innocents, it might loosen his stubborn resolve. This could be a tall order though. When describing what serving your country was like in 1943, will Jack expose his soft centre or a wound that has never healed. This is an adult drama about all the battles we face in life when only a low stone wall separates us from delicious peace.
